Charlie Yeung is one of the most sort after Hong Kong actresses at the moment, after making a huge comeback in 2004 from her retirement since 1997.

Charlie Yeung was first notice in a TV commercial alongside Aaron Kwok. Her charming appearance had led to several music videos appearances before inking a recording deal with EMI (Hong Kong).

Charlie Yeung released her debut album in 1992 and was gaining rapid popularity. Charlie then made her movie debut in Future Cops before landing her breakthrough role in The Lovers (1994).

Charlie Yeung was one of the most popular artists back then; her singing career didn’t prosper, but her acting career was ever booming.

Charlie Yeung then surprised many of her fans in 1997 with her decision to quit the entertainment arena to start an image consultant business in Malaysia with her Singaporean boyfriend.

Charlie’s relationship lasted for some 7 years, ended in 2004. She also ended her image consulting business and went back to Hong Kong to make a comeback to the entertainment world.

Charlie’s comeback was warmly welcomed as she landed a leading role in Jackie Chan’s New Police Story in 2004; followed by director Tsui Hark’s Seven Swords in 2005.

Charlie Yeung also starred alongside Andy Lau in All About Love (2005) and with Aaron Kwok in the award winning After This Our Exile (2006).
